The 3 Biggest Blocks to Optimal Health & 3 Simple Remedies
7 Days to Allergy-Free Eating
- Eliminate completely wheat, corn and dairy from your diet for 7- 21 days and you will feel a big difference in your life. More energy, less pain and stiffness.
- Eat at least ¼ piece of fruit or some nuts within 30 minutes of waking up.
- Breakfast. Eat protein and veggies, which can include eggs and sliced tomatoes or steak or occasionally beef sausage. You can have Spelt or some other type bread but not wheat or white flour bread. Granola is good by itself or with rice or almond milk. There are vanilla, chocolate or strawberry flavors of rice milk. No cow’s milk or cheese. Be sure to look at the labels for “high fructose corn syrup” which is derived from corn and needs to be eliminated.
- Lunch can include meat or fish with veggies and/or a salad. No wheat or white bread or croutons.
- Dinner. Eat veggies only (or with fish occasionally) This includes soup, beans and rice or veggie platter (I like Black Eyed Pea veggie platter but no wheat or corn bread or cheese) Eat as much as you want.
- Eat fruit and raw nuts between meals which includes pecans, almonds, walnuts or cashews. No peanuts (inflammatory)
- Remember this is only for 7-21 days of your life then you can usually re-introduce the wheat, corn, and dairy slowly into your diet maybe once a week then twice a week etc. The key is to rotate the foods you eat to prevent the allergy (inflammatory) reaction from occurring. This is what makes you feel bad. Don’t eat the same things all the time. GET CREATIVE with what you eat!!

BREATHE
Your Connection To Energy & Spirit
Breath is life. There is an art to breathing for increased energy and optimal function of the body. Proper breathing enhances the mind-body-spirit connection. Very slow breathing in and slow out is the key. This slows down the mind and allows you to focus on one thing, your breath instead of letting your mind dart from one thing to next constantly. This allows more peace and freedom from day to day worries.
Sit on the side of the bed or even in your chair at work, close your eyes and breathe in slowly, expanding your stomach counting to 4 then slowly breathe out to the count of 4 and just feel your breath moving into and out of your body. Try to focus on your breath and not think about work or kids or your stresses. Just 5 or 6 breaths like this several times a day will make a big difference in your stress level. Remember to mentally release the stresses that you have no control over and get the things done that you can do which will reduce your stress.
